DJ AM and Travis Barker

DJ AM  aka Adam Goldstein was best known as a celebrity DJ, he also co-owns LA nightclub LAX.  He found dead on Friday August 28, in his New York apartment. He was 36 years old.  Details have not been released yet, some are reporting that drug paraphernalia was found near the body. Police are investigating. DJ AM and Travis Barker were the only survivors of a  recent plane crash in North Carolina

UPDATE: A rep for DJ AM just issued the following statement: “Adam “DJ AM” Goldstein was found deceased this afternoon in his New York City apartment. The circumstances surrounding his death are unclear. Out of respect for his family and loved ones, please respect their privacy at this time.”

DJ AM’s last tweet: “”New york, new york. Big city of dreams, but everything in new york aint always what it seems.”

It looks like there is a new rock ‘n’ roll supergroup in the works,.. watch out Chickenfoot??! I don’t know. Anyway, Dave Grohl, (Foo Fighters), Josh Homme (QOTSA) and John Paul Jones (Led Zep.) have started a new group called Them Crooked Vultures. I’m not sure if this is another Dessert Sessions or what, but there is the shadow of an official-looking website, and they are playing a midnight show August 9th @ The Metro in Chicago.
