Eligibility Criteria:
100% Canadian owned and operated with the exception of the "Best International" and "Best USA" categories. No affiliation to a multinational*If you have a DISTRIBUTION DEAL through a major, but still do-it-yourself IT IS OK. If you still don't know if you are eligible, email us!

• The Toronto Independent Music Awards are open to artists ONTARIO-WIDE.

• If you are from Canada, but outside of Ontario you may apply for “Best Out-of-Area Canadian.”

• USA artists may ONLY apply for the “Best USA” category.

• International artists may ONLY apply for the “Best International” category.

• If you are between the ages 11 - 18 you are eligible to apply to the “Best Young Songwriters” categories. The “Best Young Songwriters” categories are ONLY open to Ontario Residents.

PLEASE NOTE: You are able to submit all the information we need via our online form . Online applicants are still subject to the $25.00 entry fee. You may send a Paypal payment, money order or check. Please see the instructions after you submit the form.

If you want to submit more than 2 songs for consideration, you must fill out a SEPARATE online application and submit an additional fee of $25.00

MAIL-IN SUBMISSION PROCESS:

Interested bands and solo artists need to send us one package containing all four of the following items:
1. a CD with at least two (2) songs
* If you send a full-length CD, please indicate which two (2) tracks best represent your music.If you want to submit more than 2 songs for consideration, you will be subjected to an additional fee of $25.00.
* If you are applying for the young songwriters categories cassettes are accepted. However, please make three (3) copies for the judges.

4. If you would like to enter the "Best Album Art" competition, please put the image on a CD-R (all standard image formats accepted)

5. * If you want to apply for the TIMA seminars, please do so through our online form.

6. A check for entry fee of $25.00 payable to "Toronto Independent Music Awards"
* The entrance fee per band or artist is only $25, regardless of how many categories for which you wish to submit. Please make checks payable to TIMA. Again, musicians may choose to be judged in as many categories as they wish for no additional cost. See categories below...
